Hollywood Theater Unleashes An ‘Animal’ For Premiere Event

On June 17th and 18th, local horror fans will enjoy an exclusive event when Horror Realm and the Hollywood Theater present the Pennsylvania premiere of Animal, the third theatrical film release from Chiller Films and the latest production from actress Drew Barrymore‘s company, Flower Films.

Presented as part of Horror Realm’s Summer of Scares program, the film will showcase the talents of director Brett Simmons (The Monkey’s Paw) and writer Thommy Hutson (Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy), who appeared at Horror Realm’s 2013 fall convention. When plans for a weekend vacation hit a dead end, a group of close-knit friends find themselves stranded in unfamiliar territory, pursued by a menacing predator. Holed up in an isolated cabin, tensions mount as long-buried secrets are revealed. As the body count rises, the group must put their differences aside and fight for survival. The cast includes Eve, Keke Palmer, Amaury Nolasco, Parker Young, Joey Lauren Adams, Elizabeth Gillies, Paul Iacono, Thorsten Kaye, and Jeremy Sumpter.

Animal will screen at the Hollywood Theater at 7:30 p.m. on both nights. Tickets are $8, $6 for seniors 65 and over, children under 12, and students with a valid student ID, and are available for advance purchase or at the box office.
