Hollywood Theater Starts A Music War With ‘Urgh!’


Need a break from all the Christmas music? Head to the Hollywood Theater on Dec. 22nd for a rock n’ roll film event.

DJ Zombo presents Urgh! A Music War, a cult music documentary chock full of punk, post-punk, and New Wave goodness. Directed  by Derek Burbidge, the 1982 concert film features performances by some of the biggest and most innovative acts of the day, including  The Go-Go’s, XTCDevoThe CrampsOingo BoingoDead KennedysGary NumanKlaus Nomi (pictured above), Wall of VoodooEcho & the Bunnymen, and The Police.

A DJ set by Zombo will take place before the screening. There will also be a live Cramps cover karaoke band in the lobby covering all of the band’s album Bad Music For Bad People. Music begins at 8:30 p.m. followed by the film at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $7.
