Schedule and Details For Fall Horror Realm Convention

Established in 2009, Horror Realm organizes horror-themed events throughout Pittsburgh, including film screenings, author signings, art shows, and benefits for charities like Scares That Care, Fix The Chapel, The Bradley Center, Animal Rescue League, and Pittsburgh Action Against Rape (PAAR). Their focus, however, is a weekend-long convention run by fans for fans of zombies and the horror genre. Held in both the spring and fall, this season’s convention promises to deliver plenty of exclusive premieres, guest panels, and entertainment.

The 2012 fall convention will run from Sept. 21st – 23rd at the Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South hotel in Bethel Park, PA. In addition to a large dealer room, the show features the Room of the Dead, where fans can meet cast and crew members from George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead.  There’s also a VHS viewing room where horror films that never made it to DVD are screened on VHS.

Some highlights of the convention include talks with cult movie actor Sid Haig, John Waters diva Mink Stole, and Hellraiser star Doug Bradley. Horror Realm’s film and panel schedule for the weekend is as follows:
