Since its opening in 2011, Rocking Horse Artspace has provided Pittsburgh’s creative community with a place to view and exhibit non-traditional and traditional forms of art. Located in Lawrenceville, the volunteer art and performance space adds another element to an organization that already includes a volunteer web magazine, storefront and Pittsburgh-based arts and performance collective. On August 4th, the venue will host Videofestival, an event featuring submitted film or video projects, VHS tapes and favorite Youtube links.
From 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., visitors can watch media on different viewing stations set up throughout the gallery. Though they consider themselves “quite tolerant,” Rocking Horse reserves the right to not show overly offensive material, since the show is open to the public.
Admission for Videofestival is a $5 donation. Also, BYOB.
